Delhi to Jaipur – The Wanderlust Road Trip
Finally I made my first road trip to the magnificent city of Jaipur, famous for its beautiful palaces and forts. We made our way easily out of Delhi and headed towards the Gurgaon – Delhi Expressway, from where it’s a straight road to Jaipur. After a relative long drive courtesy the bad roads, and few stop overs at a local dhaba, we reached Jaipur and checked into Trident Hotel first thing in the evening before heading out again to explore the splendid Pink City of Jaipur.
After a quick refreshment session, we dashed off to the Nahargarh Fort to catch a bird’s eye view of Jaipur and also to catch the sunset. Later on we headed to the old city for some lassi and other famous eateries.
Day two started early with us catching the sunrise with a splendid view of the Jal Mahal, which was bang opposite our hotel. Then again we headed out to the old city of Jaipur to catch up with the places we missed on the previous day. We visited Johari Bazar, Tapri, Jawahar Statue, Connaught Place before heading back to our hotel for packing. We all found the city to be a bit exhausting and trying. Perhaps, because it was my first trip to a completely unfamiliar city, or maybe because were just so disgruntled with our drive.
Over all, it was a wonderful trip, we could have done a lot in these two days but there is always a nice time. Thanks to the wonderful hospitality by our hosts at the Trident Hotel. I will surely pay another visit soon during winters and explore every nook and corner of Jaipur.

The Fantastic Five, the Fifth one missed out on getting clicked.
